At a recent launch event, Google introduced the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL smartphones. These new devices feature built-in Gemini AI capabilities. Similar to Apple’s annual iPhone releases with upgraded Siri, Google refreshes its Pixel line each year with an advanced voice assistant called Pill Siri. Key details about the Pixel 9 series were announced, including availability in India. Official launch timing has not been provided for Bangladesh, but the phones can currently be purchased unofficially in that market. Here are the prices and specifications of the phones.
Google Pixel 9 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2700 nits peak brightness. The display also includes Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It is powered by the Google Tensor G4 processor with a Titan M2 security chip. It has 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device comes with Android 14 and Google commits to providing 7 years of operating system upgrades, security updates, and feature releases.
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary camera with Samsung GNK sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). It also has a 48MP ultra-wide camera with a Sony IMX858 sensor. The camera features 10-bit HDR recording, Cinematic Blur, high-resolution 8x zoom, and the ability to record 4K/60fps video. The front camera has 10.5 megapixels with a Samsung 3J1 sensor and can also record 4K/60fps video.
Additional features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB-C, and NFC. It also supports satellite-based emergency messaging in the United States. The Pixel 9 is powered by a 4,700mAh battery with 27W wired and 15W wireless charging.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro has a 6.3″ 1,500p LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate range of 1-120Hz and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. It has the same Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and also runs Android 14 with 7 years of promised software support. The phone is equipped with the Google Tensor G4 processor and Titan M2 security chip alongside 16GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, with a 1TB model available exclusively in the United States.

The Pixel 9 Pro battery and charging capabilities are similar to those of the Pixel 9. Specifically, the Pixel 9 Pro has a 4,700mAh battery that supports 27W wired charging and 21W wireless charging.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL is similar to the Pixel 9 Pro but with a slightly larger 6.8″ QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has the same processor, cameras, and features as the Pixel 9 Pro alongside a larger 5,060mAh battery that supports 37W wired and 23W wireless charging.
The standard Pixel 9 is priced at Rs 79,999 in India, which would be approximately Rs 1,10,000 in Bangladesh. The higher-end Pixel 9 Pro is priced at Tk 1,09,999 in Bangladesh, which converts to around Tk 1,50,000. The largest model, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, is priced at Rs 1,24,999 in India and would cost approximately Rs 1,80,000 in Bangladesh.
