With the safety feature of a combined braking system made mandatory for motorcycles up to 125cc from 1 April, Bajaj Auto has revealed the prices for the CBS variants of the entry-level CT 100 and its only 125cc offering, the Discover 125.

The CT 100 CBS continues to be available in three variants – spoke, alloy and alloy with electric start. The base variant has been priced at Rs 33,152 followed by the mid-spec at Rs 35,936 and the top-spec variant for Rs 41,587. The price hike in the variants is due to the addition of CBS ranges from Rs 704 to Rs 1152.

In the case of the Discover 125, the motorcycle is available in two variants – drum and disc. While the former has been priced at Rs 58,003, the latter has been priced at Rs 61,504. In terms of the price difference with the non-CBS variants, the drum variant costs Rs 838 more while the disc model carried a premium of Rs 2016.

Besides the CBS update, both motorcycles continue to remain mechanically the same.

The Discover 125 is Bajaj Auto’s premium commuter offering the 125cc segment. While the motorcycle has the same looks as its 110cc counterpart, the Discover 125 gets a slightly higher displacement motor and a disc brake option.

The bike follows the traditional commuter styling with a re-introduced bikini fairing for the headlamp which now gets LED DRLs, new tail lamp unit and a revised seat. It also gets a semi-digital instrument console with an analogue tachometer.

Powering the Discover 125 is the same 124cc air-cooled single cylinder mill that generates 10.8bhp of max power and 11Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a four-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and gas charged twin-shock at the rear. For braking, the motorcycle comes with drum brakes at both ends with an option for a disc at the front. Both variants are equipped with CBS.

In terms of colour options, the Bajaj Discover 125 is available in black, red or blue shades.
